TRIBEX Corporation in an effort to provide you with a uniform product
tests every roll on our coater. The most fundamental screen for
function is the peel test. In testing every coater roll we varify
through "aging" functionality of the materials. Each sample
is heated to specified temperatures over time to allow the adhesive
to "wet out", thus providing a more accurate peel value.
Further, peel graphs are available for every roll on our coater
upon request.
In extreme cases the customer is best served by using the actual
adhesive of the end product as the test adhesive. This is best determined
on a customer by customer basis. For machine dispensed applications,
we can also test to precise speeds and angles to simulate real life
conditions.
For customers with "Acrylic lockup" issues we can also screen for this problem. In conjunction with our custom silicone
formulation, we can provide a product that minimizes the susceptibility
to this production disaster.
As a standard production screen, each coater roll is also Shirlastain
Screened. This is a test that basically dyes the surface of the
liner to characterize the uniformity of the deposition as well as
the degree of cure. Shirlastain results are on file for every roll
of material manufactured by TRIBEX.
After each run, test results and test samples are filed by Run
Number. These files include such detail as deposition level report,
Shirlastain results, manufacturing retains peel results, etc...
We feel that this provides the ultimate level of post production
support available.
